Indore is the largest city and commercial capital of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh . It is situated on the Malwa Plateau, north of the Vindhya Range. Indore is the administrative headquarters of Indore District and Indore Division. Historically, the city was the capital of the territory of Holkars and has served as the capital of the former princely state of Indore and the summer capital of the erstwhile state of Central India. Indore, today, presents a happy blend of a historical past and a modern flourishing industrial city.
